Too Many? Here are suggestions for finding a more manageable set.
Not Enough? Here are suggestions for finding more information.
Navigating Results. The Title List shows a brief citation for each record retrieved by your search. Each brief citation includes the article title, author, journal title, volume/number, date, and page.
Brief citations display in the order that you specified on the main search menu. The number of citations per page is also determined from the main search menu. Use the scrollbar to view the results on a particular page. Use NEXT / PREV to navigate among pages. You can also navigate within the list by using the JUMP TO box.
Click a title to see the complete description. The full display shows the authors, article title, source (journal title, volume/number, date, and pagination), subject headings, abstract if available, and other bibliographic data.
Author names, subject headings, and journal titles are hypertext-linked. Click to generate a new search based on one of these elements, for example, all articles by this author.
Find a Copy. Use FIND A COPY to discover how to get a copy of this article or book.
If the full text of a journal article is available online, FIND A COPY can connect you directly to it. OhioLINK full-text sources include EBSCO, a commercial source, and the Electronic Journal Center, an OhioLINK aggregation of research journals from various publishers. In addition, some databases link to full text provided specifically for that database by the database producer ("attached full text"). Also, some libraries have additional e-journal subscriptions that are linked through FIND A COPY.
The full text may be available as a PDF file (page images including graphics and illustrations) or as plain text only. When you are ready to return to searching, close the full text window.
If online full text is not available, check whether your library owns the journal in print or any other format. If not, check your library's policies and procedures for interlibrary loan.
If this is a book and is found at an OhioLINK library, you can determine whether your library owns it, or request it from another library. Otherwise, check your library's interlibrary loan policies and procedures.
Store Records. Mark and store records to capture a set of citations to print, e-mail, or download. From the Title List:
Be sure to click STORE MARKED RECORDS for each page with checked items. If you proceed to a new page without storing the checked items, the system will not record them to your file.
Or, on an individual record, click STORE RECORD.
The set of stored records keeps growing as you add to it. You can do multiple searches, marking and storing records from various searches. These stored records go into the same set.
When you have completed your searching and storing, click VIEW STORED RECORDS. See instructions for printing, e-mailing, or downloading.
