Database Description: Humanities Abstracts cites articles from 500 periodicals in the diverse subject areas of the humanities. Among the disciplines included are literature and language, history, philosophy, archaeology, classical studies, folklore, gender studies, performing arts, history, religion and theology. Periodical coverage includes some of the best-known scholarly journals and numerous lesser-known but important specialized magazines. Journal list.
Abstracts, ranging from 50 to 150 words each, describe the content and scope of the source articles. Abstracts of book reviews are included. The database also includes full text of selected periodicals.

PAGINATION (.PG.): If you remember the starting page of an article but not the full citation, searching with PG might be useful. Enter the starting page and the truncation symbol $.
