Fields in This Database

AUTHORS

LABEL NAME EXAMPLES
.AU. AUTHORS nagaswamy.au.
(berna heath).au.
.CO. CORPORATE AUTHOR metropolitan.co.

AUTHORS (.AU.) includes names of the authors of articles. AU also includes names of artists, when the article is about an artist's work or includes an illustration, or when the citation refers to an art reproduction (no text). Author names are given with surname first. Names are standardized in this database, so that the same form of name is always used for a particular person or organization. Examples:

Sueur, Helene
Den Broeder, Frederick
Spike, John T.
Berna-Heath, Diane
Lai, Richard Tseng-yu

All words are indexed. If you are unsure how the name is given, begin searching by surname only.

CORPORATE AUTHOR (.CO.): Name of organization (association, institution, conference, corporation, or government agency) that is the author of a book. In this database, CO is used for book reviews only.
